Brief History of the Company

Company was stablished in 1989 with the name of Balseurop S.L.

Originally the main activity was manufacturing airplane kits made of balsa wood.

The manufacture of end grain balsa panels with Balsaflex trademark started on 2002.

In 2011 Balseurop was purchased by Gurit Holding AG and in 2013 Balseurop was renamed to Gurit Balsa S.L.

During all transition process from a family owned and managed company to being part of a multinational Gurit Balsa executive team was maintained and reinforced. Therefore we affirm that our customer oriented service and philosophy is still in place.

Our production facilities are currently located in a balsa wood producing area in Ecuador. We export directly from there to all over the world.  Our headquarters are located in Spain.
